ABOUT US
The name Two Bicycles and a Map, Ltd., came out of our love for bicycling. The two of us (Eric and Kathy), on our bicycles, with a road map, having fun and meeting friendly people along the way; this wasn’t just a dream, it was a starting point. In the summer of 1998, we set out on an adventure that would change our lives forever. With two bicycles, our trusty maps and some gear, we left Wisconsin to explore the European way of life. Our plan was to visit our many overseas relatives, by bicycle. What a great trip we had! From pushing our bikes through a cow pasture in Germany, to pedaling along to the applause of some locals, Tour de France style, in France, we found that cycling was the best way to meet people and truly experience the local culture first hand. We decided we could do this very “vacation on your bike” closer to home, and began our Wisconsin bicycle touring company. We love to bike and want to show other people the fun and adventures to be had when touring by bicycle. Our home is in Madison, Wisconsin, and we commute daily on our bikes, even in the winter!
Two Bicycles and a Map, Ltd. is a current member of the National Bike Tour Directors Association. We are Effective Cycling Instructors, through the League of American Bicyclists. This bike safety course is the only nationwide program in the country. We are also past contributors to the Wisconsin State Journal, having written articles for the bimonthly In Gear column.
Over the past 10 years we have donated thousands of dollars to the bicycle community to help promote the great fun, fitness and healthy lifelong benefits of biking in Wisconsin. We are committed to maintaining a strong community involvement and have given our overnight communities over $100,000 of economic support. We have hosted hundreds of satisfied customers and we would like you to become one as well.
We hope you'll join us soon!

Happy cycling,
Eric and Kathy Schramm
